Did You Know?
All Purity Nutrition products are free from preservatives, colours or artificial flavours. Our jars remain shelf stable for 2 years because the product is cooked in the jar to keep the goodness sealed in. Purity cereals are also the only locally produced baby cereals to provide more than 50% of the daily iron requirements of a baby aged 6 - 12 months in one serving. The Purity range does not contain added salt and only the jarred dessert range contains a small amount of sugar. |
Daily Feeding Guide
Breast is best for baby, so try to breastfeed for as long as possible. When your baby starts eating at around 6 months, he or she should start with 1 meal per day for the
first week or two. Gradually increase the number of meals offered per day in the following weeks. By the time your baby is around 7 months old, he or she will be
comfortable with eating 2 - 2 meals per day.
The daily feeding plan is just a guideline. Every baby is an individual. Let your baby be your guide. It is not necessary for your baby or toddler to finish a
full jar. Serve in a bowl and the rest can be saved for his or her next snack.
NOTE: Where 'milkfeed' or milk is recommended, you give your baby the milk you are currently using i.e. breastmilk or formula. Remember to introduce one new food
at a time every few days to check for any problems like possible allergies. The Good Nights range is also suitable mid morning or at lunchtime as babies often take a mid morning or mid
afternoon nap. The Good Nights cereals could also be used as alternative to jars at lunch or supper as can any of the other cereals or porridges. The Good Nights Bedtime drink and the
Goodies Milkshake powders are for babies from 1 year and must be mixed with the milk you are feeding baby.
All Purity products are free of preservatives, colours and artificial flavours.
Most paediatricians surveyed in private practice in SA recommend Purity for babies starting on solids.
