Jenny Perkel has been practicing as a clinical psychologist in Cape Town since 1996. She is the author of 'Babies in Mind' - for new parents - and 'Streets of Jewels’ - for children.
She is on the Editorial Board of the professional journal, 'Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in South Africa' and she is the founder and co-ordinator of the Babies in Mind Service which offers nationwide psychological support for new parents. She was previously trained as a nursing sister and midwife and she has an interest in child mental health.
